About BrazilianFunk.com
BrazilianFunk.com exists to answer one question as fast as possible: where can I hear this artist? We maintain the largest searchable English-language directory of Brazilian funk artists, and every published name links directly to that artist’s official Spotify profile.
What we do
We catalogue Brazilian funk artists — MCs, singers, producers and DJs — and verify each entry against the official Spotify artist profile before publishing it. If we cannot confirm an official link, the artist stays unpublished rather than sending you to the wrong place.
Alongside the artist directory, we publish original editorial guides covering what Brazilian funk is, the history of the genre, every subgenre, and the culture that surrounds the music. All of it is written specifically for this site.
Why we celebrate this genre
Brazilian funk is one of the most inventive popular music cultures on earth, built by artists, producers and DJs from communities that were never handed a platform. Its rhythms now shape club and pop music worldwide, frequently without credit reaching the people who created them.
A directory is a small correction to that. By making it trivial to go from a name to an official profile, we send attention — and streams — to the artists themselves rather than to re-uploads and unattributed edits.
Founder and featured artist
BrazilianFunk.com was founded by the artist VanMilli, who also appears as the site’s featured artist. The project grew out of a simple frustration: there was no clean, fast, English-language place to look up a Brazilian funk artist and land on their real catalogue.
Independent and unaffiliated
BrazilianFunk.com is independently operated. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Spotify or any record label, and we do not host or stream music. Artist links point to official third-party profiles; all rights remain with the artists and rights holders.
